St Hilliers, as part of the Axiom Consortium, were involved in completing six schools in the NSW Schools I and II PPP Project.
The project scope consists of the design and construction of:
- Glenwood High School ($18.0M)
- John Edmondson High School ($17.0M)
- Halinda School for Special Purposes ($9.0m)
- Reconstruction of the Kelso Secondary School in Bathurst ($24.0m)
- Rouse Hill Secondary School ($23.0m)
- Kariong Secondary School ($20.0m)
All the schools demonstrate high quality, innovative design and construction, providing effective learning environments and meeting disability requirements.
St Hilliers were responsible for master-planning, obtaining all statutory approvals, design development, construction delivery and handover of each school, ensuring they complied with NSW DET specifications and all statutory and BCA requirements.
All schools were handed over inclusive of landscaping, furniture and complete fit out, ready for occupation, with facilities such as agricultural blocks, industrial arts workshops, visual arts rooms, administration facilities and dance studios.
The schools provide other specialised features such as full disabled access, special needs learning facilities, training facilities and state of the art gymnasiums. The Halinda School was delivered complete with a hydro-therapy pool, suitable for special needs learning and development.
