The project pertains to demolition and removal of an Old Target Shed which was an existing timber building and services disconnections, existing steel framed WWII shed structure to slab level, existing condemned timber building, stumps and services.
New buildings have been provided to replace the Old Target Shed; being a new storage facility including a hardstand, a 4-door garage with carport, eyewash station and diesel tank storage bund, and a new ground level single skin blockwork assembly building with kitchenette.
Some minor heritage remediation works for wall tile replacement and roof sheeting, exit signs, new stairs and landing and repainting was also within scope.
Imperative to the successful delivery of the project was the need to maintain heritage compliance of remaining buildings. The consultants completed Heritage impact assessments to each building being affected by the works scope proposed. Where buildings are to be removed and not replaced, turfing remediation has been provided.
